The Akron Zoo came to us with a challenge: how do you make exhibits that address environmental education, but make them fun for "tweenagers" from ages 7-14? We devised the Lizard Lounge, a place where tweens and teens can hang out with friends, stroll through glowing graffiti pods, and perhaps take in a game of Frogger or climb on a rock wall. Educational content comes from scrapboards, interactives and fun graphic "annotations", all demonstrating how our daily choices can affect the planet's health.
